Marylee Garrison's Obituary
Marylee Garrison, 85, passed away Saturday, April 23rd. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gaines and Beulah Adair James; husband, Nath D. Garrison; son, Kurt Garrison; and brother, Herschel James. Left to cherish Marylee’s memory are her daughter, Annette Vogel and husband John; grandchildren, Taylor Vogel and Patrick Vogel; and a host of other dear friends and family.
Marylee had a passion for teaching and education. She attended the University of North Texas, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. Marylee went on to teach reading, social studies and special education for many years in the LaPorte Independent School District. Marylee was known as a social person who made many friends over the years in LaPorte and West Texas. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren who were special to her. Animals brought Marylee great joy, especially her beloved dog Sammy. Marylee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service for Marylee will be held on Saturday April 30, 2022 at 10:30am at the LaPorte Cemetery.
