Maura touched so many lives at Bayshore Elementary and again at LPHS. Her upbeat personality and positive attitude rubbed off on us all. She was a wonderful friend, teacher and leader. She will truly be missed. Our thoughts are with her family.
Rene, your mom was always so kind and welcoming to me, even if a year or more had passed since the last time I had seen her. I am thinking about you and your family, and if there is anything I can do to help, please call me.
I worked with Maura at LPHS as well as worshiping with her at St. John's Episcopal Church. She was such a fun person to be around and such a hard & dedicated worker both at school and at church. Maura was such a kind and gentle soul with a giving nature. She will be greatly missed by all of her former coworkers at LPHS.

Maura's room was across from mine at LPHS. We had so many good times as hall buddies! She was a special person who gave so much love to her students and to her friends. The dedication and devotion she brought to education will be missed.

Maura, You were a great mentor to me as a young teacher, you taught me much about compassion and caring for the special students we taught in resource at Laporte High school. I will be forever greatful for your shining example.
