She is preceded in death her parents, Frank and Avis Morrison; her loving husband, Dalton D. Dyess; son, William Dyess, brother, “Buddy” Norman Dyess; and sisters, Delores Munson and Faye Beaumont. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Stephen Dyess and wife, Nancy, David Dyess and wife, Norma; daughters, Cherie Mathena and husband, Mike, Desi Witherwax and husband, Bob; thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.Melba loved reading, gardening and was an accomplished artist that could draw caricatures of everyone. She enjoyed writing notes and letters to friends and family. Melba’s greatest accomplishment however was her family. She was extremely proud of all their accomplishments and achievements. Melba will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.A graveside service for Melba was held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
