View Tribute Book In loving memory of Michael M Kuzma, 71, of La Porte, Texas, peacefully passed on May 12, 2024, in Houston Methodist Hospital - Clear Lake. Michael’s journey began on May 31,1947 in Czechoslovakia, where he was born to parents, Mr. Kuzma, and Susan Trego. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela Betts, and stepson, Roger Teagarden.Mike’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and the joy of simple pleasures. In 1948, his mother, Susan Trego, made the courageous decision to immigrate with Michael to the United States. They settled in Western Pennsylvania.Mike’s journeys lead him to Florida and finally Houston, Texas forty years ago. He received his Associated Degree from San Jacinto College. He worked for Dow Pipeline for 30 years. He was an original and his devotion to work and people showed in his work, home, and social life. He was a particularly good friend. He enjoyed Country Western Dancing, astronomy, hunting and Fishing. He enjoyed dabbling in the stock market.For those desiring, a donation in his honor can be made to a charity of your choice.A Celebration of Life will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 S 3rd St., La Porte, Texas on Saturday, May 25th at 11 am with a close friend, Sue Smith, officiating.
