View Tribute Book Mickey Wayne Reeves, 66, passed away on Friday, February 2nd, after a short 4-month battle with cancer. He was at home, surrounded in the comfort of his loved ones.Mickey was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, on October 31, 1957, to James and Alberta Reeves. He was the third child out of four, the only boy amongst his three sisters. He then grew up in Vidalia, Louisiana. In 1977, he married Denise, his wife of almost 47 years. They moved and made Texas their permanent home, where they started their family and raised their two daughters, Misty and Stacy.Mickey was a hard working and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His family meant everything to him, and he always made sure that they were well taken care of.He was preceded in death by his father James, his mother Alberta (King), sisters Bobby Jane Nichols and Deborah Stovall, his father- in- law Russell Champlin, and brothers- in- law Milford ‘Nick’ Nichols and James Templeton. He is survived by his wife, Denise, daughters Misty (husband Michael) Zavar and Stacy Reeves, sister Carolyn Templeton, mother -in- law Zylpha Champlin, sisters- in- law Sharon (husband Gene) Klos and Dawn Ashby, along with a host of other family and friends.
