My condolences to you and your family. May our Lord comfort you and your loved ones.
My prayers and condolences go out to Mike's family Julie, Luke & Chase. Mike was a loving and genuinely funny guy who always brought light into any room. I will miss his jokes and off the cuff remarks that gave life to any meeting. May God keep you and provide you with his unfailing peace and comfort. God Bless!
To the Davis Family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers for the unexpected passing of your beloved Mike. He was like an angel on Earth who was called to Jesus at an early age. He will be remembered always because of the great difference he made in so many lives and the legacy he leaves in his 2 sons.
In Faith,
Leah and husband Kelly Shaw
I had the honor and privilege of working with Mike at Texas Children's for the last four years. What can I say about Mike that everyone else hasn't already said? I don't know. But I know this, Mike was a friend to me and I will never forget him. When I now think about him, I think of the song "Be Like Mike", because the man Mike Davis that I know is a man of God, a great family man and a brilliant, hardworking, reliable, cheerful and wonderful colleague. That's what I aspire to be like. To Mike's family - my sincerest condolences to you all. I grieve with you and am at your service should a need arise.
I had the great pleasure of working with Mike on the Organizational Development team at Texas Children's. He is going to be so missed as he was such a great person to know and to work with. My heart felt condolences for his wife, boys, and family. I am so very sorry for your loss. You all will continue to be in my prayers.
I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers.
Prayer for Julie, Luke and Chase. Your husband and father was one of a kind and will be missed greatly. I imagine he is lighting up heaven with that smile and laugh.
Mike was always a pleasure to speak with. His love for sports and his family always made our conversations fun. Mike and I kicked it off as UofH alumni and fans of UofH and Houston sports. I could never get in to Dynamo but Mike loved them! Nonetheless, he always spoke beautifully of his sons, another connection between the two of us as I too have 2 boys. His sense of humor and wittiness will be greatly missed but I can say it was an honor to work with him and know him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Mike was a fabulous person who gave his all at Texas Children's. I met Mike on my first day of work in orientation. One of the speakers did not show up and so Mike gave the entire speech and demonstrated on how to save your back while working!
I thought to myself I bet he knows everyone's speech so he can be the back up.
That was an amazing first impression!
He was a wonderful orator and hard worker.
He always talked about his two boys and his wife. I know that he was a proud Dad and husband.
He will be greatly missed by all of Texas Children's.

I will remember Mike as a man that was genuine, funny, positive, and loved his wife and boys above all else.
While we did not work closely on a daily basis, the times I stopped by his office to chat (I had to grab some chocolate!) or worked with him facilitating a class or on a project, I always knew it would be a good experience.
My heart truly breaks for his wife, children, and family as I know our loss of Mike as a colleague is amplified exponentially for those closest to him. My prayers for you all will be ongoing.
