Mitchell Scott "Mitch" Sterling's Obituary
Mitchell “Mitch” Scott Sterling, 58, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances Sterling. Mitch is survived by his former wife, Suzie Sterling; sons, Matthew and David Sterling; daughter, Erin Sterling and husband, Doug Drab; sister, Linda Noto; grandson, Nate Drab; and a host of other family and friends.
Mitch was a simple man that loved spending time in the outdoors; fishing, going to the beach and spending time around the water. He enjoyed collecting firearms and going to the gun range. Mitch enjoyed cooking even when it wasn’t well received by others. He was affectionately known to Nate as “Poppop” and he cherished spending time with his friends and family. Mitch will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Mitch will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 12:30 pm with Father Jim Courville officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
