Nancy Calogero Hart's Obituary
Nancy Calogero Hart, age 86, of Pearland, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Nancy was born in Syracuse, New York, and was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Fanny (Mattarazzo) Calogero. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six brothers, Michael, Dominic, Vincent, Samuel, Jerry, and Anthony Calogero, and her five sisters, Theresa, Grace, Angie, Rose, and Frances.
Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother, and a source of constant faith and comfort to her family. She was always willing to listen, pray, and offer support to those she loved. Nancy had a passion for cooking, and her Sunday night family dinners were a cherished tradition for many years. An avid sports fan, she especially enjoyed watching the New York Yankees as well as Syracuse University and The University of Alabama basketball and football. She loved a good card game or a trip to the casino - she could spend hours at the slot machines.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Neil Hart; her daughter, Dolores (Jerry) Hendrix of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her son, Neil (Karlene) Hart; two granddaughters, Sabrina (Tyler) Cloud and Hayley Hart; one great grandson, Flynn Cloud; three sisters, Connie (Ostuni) Africa of Liverpool, New York, Joy Constantine of Syracuse, New York, and Fanny Apps of Camillus, New York; along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland, Texas, on Friday, May 15, at 1:00 p.m., followed by an intimate reception.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Live UTI Free
