Nancy Hicks Rogers King, 76, of La Porte passed away Wednesday January 28, 2009. She was born January 2, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Helen and Thomas Bruce. Nancy was a member of the Daughters of Republic of Texas and Daughters of American Revolution. She is survived by husband John King, children Bruce L. Rogers and Deborah, Debra L. Hopp and Jim, Jan King and Carol, Barry King and Jennifer, brother Thomas B. Hicks III and Eleanor, Aunts June Goldman, Sally Ball, grandchildren Angela Hopp, Brian Rogers and Amanda, Matthew Hopp and Christy, and great grandchildren Brian Jr., Jordan, Tyler, and Ryan.
Services will be held Saturday January 31, 2009 at 1 PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM at Confederate Cemetery.
