Nicola Divirgilio's Obituary
Nicola Divirgilio, 72, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vinzeno and Maria Divirgilio; and brother, Padre Felice Divirgilio. Nicola is survived by his sons, Nick Divirgilio and wife, Tracie, Rick Divirgilio an wife, Shiva; brothers, Luigi Divirigilo and wife, Michelina, Donato Divirgilio; sister, Luccia Pettrucci and husband, Reno; grandchildren, Nicholas, Natalie and Tiago Divirgilio; and a host of other family and friends.
Nicola was a master carpenter and builder by trade. He was a hard-working, devoted father that would gladly give the shirt off of his back to help others in need. Nicola spent the first 15 years of his life in Italy before migrating to Australia and then to the United States in 1961. He was an honest man with great integrity and you always knew where he stood on anything. Nicola was proud of his sons and all their successes. He loved his family very much and relished in spending time with them. Nicola enjoyed eating food cooked by his son, Rick and daughter-in-law, Shiva at their restaurant. He loved watching soccer and playing golf with his son, Nick. He was affectionately known as “Pappa D” to his friends and employees at the restaurant, and “Grandpa Nick” to his grandchildren. Nicola will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation and funeral service for Nicola will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will begin at 9:30 am and the service will follow beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
