Okwudili Uzoma Ekesi's Obituary
Okwudili Ekesi, 33, of Houston, Texas, peacefully transitioned to eternal glory on May 25, 2026.
Born on July 6, 1992, Okwudili was a devoted Christian whose faith, kindness, and compassion touched everyone who knew him. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of A&M Prarie View and built a successful career as a Mechanical Engineer at Schlumberger.
Okwudili was admired not only for his intelligence and professionalism but also for his humility, generous heart, and unwavering willingness to help others. His bright smile, gentle spirit, and genuine care for people left a lasting impression on family, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched.
Outside of work, he enjoyed traveling, cycling, fitness, video games, and designing and building electronics. He embraced life with curiosity, excellence, and gratitude.
He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Samuel and Rosina Ekesi; his sisters, Oge and Victoria; his brother-in-law, Allan; his uncles, Joseph and Bartholomew; his beloved nieces and nephews; and many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.
Though his earthly journey ended far too soon, Okwudili’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral services celebrating Okwudili’s life will be held on July 25, 2026.
