Olga Garza's Obituary
Olga Garza (Nunez), better known as Grandma Olga, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, peacefully, at the age of 75 years old. She was born to Camila Herrera and Rogelio Nuñez Loyola in Cinco de Mayo Tamaulipas, Mexico
Olga is preceded in death by her husband Carlos Garza, brother Pablo and Polo Nunez and her parents.
She survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Jesse Garza and Sandra Rosenbaum-Garza, Carlos and Junita Garza Jr., Michael Garza and Debra, Antonio Garza and Mallory, Dean Garza and Dorthy, Lency Garza, and daughter Ruby Garza-Williams, 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grand Children and a few bonus grandchildren who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She is also survived by a brother Rogelio Nunez Herrera.
She was a hard-working women in everything she did, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand no matter how tired she was. She always had a good meal on the stove; her tortillas and hot sauce were the BEST! All the neighborhood kids knew when it was time to come to eat.
Olga always had a way of making everyone feel loved, always wanting to give even when she didn’t have. Most of all her kindness and presence.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Jesse Ortiz, her loving grandson who never left her side. The compassion he showed his grandmother was a gesture of pure love. He put his life on hold to care for his grandma.
