View Tribute Book Owen “Sonny” Braddock Dawson, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2-23. He is preceded in death by his parents Owen W. and Lula Belle Dawson. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 58 years, Bobbie Dawson; sons Joel Dawson and wife, Christine, Lee Dawson and wife, Jami; sister Charleen Bryant and husband, Rodney; grandchildren Winter Dawson, Erika Dawson, Kaelin Dawson, Will Dawson and wife, Brooke, Tyler Dawson, Trenten Dawson; great grandson Kash Dawson, and a host of many other family and friends.Sonny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who cherished his family and friends and loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He loved helping prepare for and hosting family and friends celebrations. Sonny was an outdoorsman and avid sports fan. He enjoyed coaching his sons when they were in youth sports. He loved watching and cheering any sport affiliated with the University of Alabama, and he was also a Houston Astros fan through and through. In his spare time, Sonny enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Services for Sonny will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. The Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Tom Allen officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice, in Sonny’s memory.
