View Tribute Book Patricia “Pat” Ann Burkett, 85, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018. She is preceded in death by parents, Tully and Essie Talbot; her loving husband and childhood sweetheart, Bobby Cline Burkett; brother, George Talbot; and sister, Wanda Williamson. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Kim Bays and husband, Bill, Toni Detzler and husband, Joe, Lisa Hallstrom and husband, John; brother, Carl Talbot; sister, Fay Whatley; grandchildren, Eryn Bays, Billy Bays, Joey Detzler, and Lindsay Detzler; great grandchildren, William Bays and Leighton Detzler; and a host of other family and dear friends. Pat felt strongly about giving back to the community she loved so much and was a strong supporter of local groups, organizations and programs. She was active in the Pearland chapter of the ABWA, the Tri-County Republican Women, Pearland Republican Women, Elk’s Ladies Auxiliary, Pearland Police Auxiliary, and the Pearland Historical Society. She was strong in her faith and loved the Lord. Patricia was an avid Pearland High School, Houston Astros, and University of Texas fan. She enjoyed listening to country music and dancing. Her passion was baking for family and friends. Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s honor to the Pearland Historical Society at www.pearlandhistoricalsociety.org. Services for Pat will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm.
