Paul Russell Renfro, age 55 years passed away on May 11th, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Leanne, his Mother and Father, Frances and Ben Renfro, his Brothers, Charles and Thomas Re Read Obituary
I have logged tens of thousands of miles sailing over the last 35 years. Even in the most horrible conditions, I can honestly say felt the safest and most in control while sailing with Paul and Leanne. I will always cherrish those moments. I learned a lot from Paul and think of him often. The world lost a great person.

We look out over Ingleside Cove and we can still see in our minds Paul in the kayak fishing the way Joe Garbutt taught him. He certainly loved the water, boating, and especially you. You are in our prayers.

I was so very sorry to learn of Paul’s death. He was a special person, a unique individual who brought many talents and gifts to this world. Paul always brought a smile to my face and laughter from my soul. I will miss him dearly, but know he is continuing on his journey with the Creator

It seems just yesterday Paul and I raced on his C&C 24 for his first race as a skipper. (my first race ever)
I am so sorry I cannot be there Sunday. I can promise you I will have a rum drink in his honor Sunday. God speed Paul.
We definatly had some good times… You got me “interested” in ultra-lights with the Express 27… Damn that was fun!!! Now you can enjoy designing everything you wished you could…

I was so sorry to see that Paul had died,last Monday evening I was sitting on Skip and Katy’s deck, looking out over the cove, and thinking of y’all. I’ll never forget how frustrated Paul was at first trying to fish the cove, and how we all ended up benefitting mightily when he mastered it. Redfish on the half-shell!! that was such a golden time for all of us, we will miss paul, but we won’t forget him.

Having left Texas, I wasn’t able to stay in touch with Paul and Leanne as much as I would have liked to – some of my best Galveston Bay sailing memories included Paul and Leanne. My condolences to the family; Paul will certainly be missed!

We are so saddened by the death of our beloved nephew, Paul Renfro. He has been a major presence in our lives. The oldest son of our brother and wife, Ben and Frances Renfro, we have lived through and enjoyed many family reunions, and wonderful gatherings of the entire family.
