Peter Hopkins Fitzgerald passed away on December 9, 2010 at home. He was born on June 24, 1939 in Yonkers, New York to Eloise and Patrick Fitzgerald. The son of an Irish bricklayer who was raised in The Bronx and educated by the C Read Obituary
I worked for Dr. Fitzgerald in the late 90’s at UTSW and will always remember him fondly. We worked hard, but also shared a lot of laughs. His quick wit was second to none.

I did not know Mr. Fitzgerald well, however every time I saw him, he made me feel welcome and had a content and joyful presence about him. The family members of his that I have met are incredibly loving and family oriented, which I believe is demonstrative of his character. May God’s love and peace surround you all.
