Q: How did you meet Philip?

A: I first met pastor Dunn and Ms robin when I was invited to church by my uncle Darrell it was a true blessing getting to know pastor Dunn it definitely was preaching that literally had u filled with cheers praise the lord so many times I backslid and bro Dunn still was there no judgment but with support and prayers he did his best to guide me and my family telling us what the lord would want us to do especially living in sin ill never forget. him and his wife being there when my son Zechariah died in 2011 him and ms robin even came to see him in nicu at hospital bro Dunn always had jokes and his sense of humor was amazing I thank god for him and the church he did the funeral of my sweet zechariah and always checked in to make sure me and kids were ok no matter what even if at times I felt lost and wasn't understanding of what God wanted me to do after leaving lighthouse many years I questioned if I needed to go back I missed bro Dunn and ms robin and many others in church they all had my heart bro Dunn now u are in heaven with the lord and Zechariah and many others im just glad your up there on my side and now you cant come to use but we can go to u love always

I love you, Bro. Dunn and Ms. Dunn. Thank you for everything that you have done for my family and me. I am grateful for God leading us to your church and the privilege of the fellowship with all of the men and women of God. Bro. Dunn made everything simple and to the point. I admired how he never sugarcoated the truth. To me there will never be another church like Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Words cannot express what Bro Phil means to my family, but I'm going to give it a shot. He was a Friend that sticks closer that a brother, he would give you the last of everything he had then ask if he could do anything else for you. He was Thankful.... didn't feel that he deserved what he had. He was Gracious. Pastor would lead by example when he asked to give money to Missions then ask you to give yourself wholly to God. I have seen Bro Dunn give and help people that No one else wanted to help, he was just that giving. He would go all around the world just to help someone in need.. On the other side of that, don't cross him, it wouldn't turn out good. Not bring sacrilegious, he reminds me of God, they way God loves but don't get on His "bad side". I have fond memories of Preacher, texting jokes, and funny things... he always liked to laugh and make others laugh. I can't wait to see him again in heaven. God Bless the Dunn and Ralph Family.

Philip Dunn was an amazing man of God. Although I did only know him and his family for a short period of time, I quickly became attached due to the kind nature of him and his wife, Robin. The only regret that I have taking care of, Mr. Dunn was that I did not have the chance to meet him earlier in a different situation. I pray that God gives his wife and his family, grace and guidance.

Wow I can’t believe u r gone I remember so many awesome things although I haven’t been to church in years u were always straightforward with me brother Dunn. I do believe alot because of u is how I got more n more closer to GOD I loved being a part of your church although I ran into issues I’ll never forget u and how awesome u we’re to the kiddos n just everyone

I’m Debbie, Phil’s favorite sister-n-law LOL!! He was my family member and a dear friend to me. He loved me unconditionally. He always gave me good advice when I asked him. He was a LIGHT in the community of LaPore where he was a Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He wanted everyone he came in contact with to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal SAVIOR. . He will be truly missed but knowing he is no longer suffering from cancer and walking the streets of gold is a relief to me and his family. He loved my sister Robin so much and his children and grandchildren. Knowing I will see him again one day is comforting to me. Love you, Phil

We first met Bro. Phil years ago, as part of the "Texas crew" that would come up with Bro. Danny Farley to our missions conference. After their first visit, it just wasn't missions conference without them. After answering the call to pastor Lighthouse Baptist Church, he allowed us the honor of being part of LBC's annual spring revival. Those two meetings became the highlights of our year. Bro. Phil, in our eyes, was a man of God, simply put. He was "balanced"; gentle but protective, of his family and his flock; kind but uncompromising of God's truth. He was a faithful man, a great pastor, a dear brother in the Lord, and one of our dearest friends. We love you, Brother Phil. What magnificent glories you are beholding! We'll see you again one day! When we join you around His Throne, there will be no more goodbyes! What a Day that will be!!

I was a grieving widow, having just lost a wonderful husband of 54 years, when I came to Lighthouse Baptist Church and met a Pastor who loved people and cared so much for his people. God called me to Lighthouse when the doors first opened. That was the beginning of belonging to my precious Church family. Preacher Dunn and Robin has been the pillars of the church and being a part was such joy. Even though time and distance has separated us I am still a part of my Church family at Lighthouse and without the calling from God to Preacher Dunn there
would be no "Lighthouse". Love to all, Jerrie Smith
