Ralph Handy Jr.'s Obituary
Ralph Handy Jr., 67, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021. Ralph is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Handy Sr., mother, Ramona Handy, and brother. Left to cherish Ralph’s memory are his loving wife, of 35 years, Martha Handy; sons, Robert Handy and wife, Olivia, Ralph Handy IV; daughters, Rosanette Salinas, Amanda Luedecke, Ashley Handy, Stacey Handy; sister, Mary Coats and husband, Jesse; grandchildren; Nicholas, Joshua, Madyson, Marcus, Averiel, Bryan, Jacob, Ethan, Travis, Bryce, Noah, Ariel, Everly, great granddaughter; Emma, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He was a hard worker and wonderful provider. Ralph began working for Monsanto Co-Chocolate Bayou Plant in 1979, which was later bought out by Ascend Performance Materials. He retired from the company last year with over 40 years of service. Ralph’s favorite hobby was his Ham radio. It enabled him to meet and talk to people around the world. Ralph also enjoyed barbequing with his family, John Wayne and Big Foot movies, listening to golden oldies music, and watching old cartoons with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation and Rosary for Ralph will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 10:00 am, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, in Pearland, Texas with Father Jim Courville officiating.
