Rasik C. Shah's Obituary
Rasik Shah, a beloved physician and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by the loving presence of his family.
Rasik was born in Surendranagar, India to Chunilal and Kusumbiben. He went to Medical College in Jamnagar and Ahmedabad, and he married Hansaben in 1961.
He practiced as a Family Physician in Godhra, India for over 30 years. He was also a trustee of a bank and an owner of a factory.
Rasik moved to the USA in 1989 and ran a successful business in Florida. In 2003, he retired and moved to Pearland, Texas, to be with his family.
He lived his life with an unrelenting curiosity, an iron will, and with the mantra “anything someone can do, I can do it too”. He was a doctor, builder, banker and technologist all at once, never content to sit still. He served with pride as President of the Indian Senior Citizens Society.
Rasikbhai was a fierce champion of education, ensuring all of his siblings were schooled, and established a legacy of a highly educated family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Hansa; sons Nishith and Alpesh; daughters-in-law Shefalee and Gopi; and grandchildren Rohan, Rahul, Ria, and Karan.
His name will be spoken for generations. He will be deeply missed.
