I loved Ricky. He was my sister's boyfriend at Southwest Texas State University and later became her husband. He was a great brother in law. I am saddened that he passed away and I didn't know anything about it. Prayers go out to his family and Mother. God bless.
My heart goes out to you for the loss of your loved one. When going through the loss of my father, I drew comfort from God's Word. A scripture that really helped me is Isaiah 41:10. There God implores us to not be anxious because he is with us and assures us " I will really hold on to you with my right hand.' May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time.( 1 Cor. 1:3,4)
So very sad to hear. I coached against Rick in the 1980’s and remember us comparing our baby daughters at the time. Years later Rick and I would watch Tiffany and Courtney play volleyball traveling the state and country.
I know it’s cliche but he was a great guy and even greater Dad. I’m stunned and saddened.
Coach Baker was all three of my sons coach and history teacher. He will be missed at VLI! Prayers to the family.
I knew Ricky at SWT and he will always be known as a “shooter” in my book. If the three-point line had been in effect back then, look out! Ricky and I were teammates at SWT and we had many good times together. He was a good man and I know he will be missed by all. God Bless his family.

I knew Ricky when we attended SWT. He will always be known as a “shooter”. He was never afraid to take the shot. If there had been a three-point line back in day, look out! He was my teammate and my friend and we shared many good times. God bless his family. Rest In Peace my friend and GO BOBCATS!

I Had Coach Baker For Social Studies In 8th Grade. He Was A Great Person And Was A Really Kind Guy. And He Worked For Coach Hobaugh For Cross Country. When I Was In 8th Grade The Funny Thing Was When I Was In His Class For 8th Grade For Social Studies. He Yelled At The Boys More Than The Girls.
