He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Hulot Boone and Cirila Nino Boone; brothers, Vincent Boone and Ascencion Jose Boone; and great granddaughter, Savannah Flores. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Fidela Castillo Boone of Houston, Texas; sons, Robert Cyril Jr. and wife, Rhonda of Cedar Park, Texas , and Roy Boone and partner, Ashley Nelson of Houston, Texas; daughter, Liz Boone and partner, Carlos Bocanegra of Houston, Texas; brothers, John H. Boone and wife, Lillian, and John S. Boone; sister, Isabel Boone; grandchildren, Marissa Boone, Michael Watts and fiancé, Sarai Salazar, Ashli Watts and Reign Boone; and a host of many other family and dear friends.Robert was a very good provider for his family and was a hardworking floor supervisor for Turner Hardware for over 20 years. He had an amazing work ethic and taught his children the value of working hard. He was known to all family as “Mr. Boone.” Robert loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching his favorite television shows. He was affectionately known as “PoPo” to his grandchildren and he cherished every opportunity he had to spend with them. Robert will forever be remembered for his caring nature, sense of humor and true selflessness in dealing with others both at work and at home. He also preferred to the ride the bus and took it to work every day known to him as “his 40 seater limousine with chauffer”. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Visitation for Robert will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral mass will take place Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Fr. James Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
