Robert “Bob” Gay, 68 of La Porte, passed away Aug. 4, 2009. He was born July 15, 1941, in Bogalusa, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, six brothers, two sisters, daughters Brooke Ramirez and husband, David, Carol Goudeau and husband, Dylan, Lisha Ishee, sons, Scott Gay and wife, Brooke, Mark Gay and wife, Monique, grandchildren David, Isaac, Keely, Abigail, Josh, Elena, Adam, Crystal, Lyndon, Holli, Grant, James, and Daniel, great-grandchildren Ariana, Lilah and Aundrea, and numerous neices and nephews.
His hobbies were fishing and hunting but his favorite was watching his grandsons play baseball. He was known around the ballpark as “Pop.” He always had a baseball story to talk about.
A visitation will take place Thursday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home in la Porte.
Burial will follow immediately after at La Porte Cemetery.
