Rosa Garcia Rodriguez's Obituary
Rosa Garcia Rodriguez, 87, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos Garcia and Marina Rodriguez; brothers, Carlos, Jose and Hugo Garcia; and sisters, Consuelo, Ana Maria, Marina, Emma, Gloria, Guadalupe and Magdalena Garcia. Rosa is survived by her son, Carlos Alberto Camacho; daughters, Martha Marina Olvera, Rosa Lazeano Gonzalez; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Rosa was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother who gave of herself unconditionally. She helped raise six nieces and nephews all under the age of 10 after two of her sisters passed away. Rosa also helped raise four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Every morning before starting her day she would immediately make her bed perfectly. She loved listening to her favorite music while cleaning her house. Rosa loved the beach, watching telenovelas, reading and shopping. She was an eternal optimist who loved life and made the best of every situation. Rosa had a sweet tooth for cakes, pies but especially her ice cream. She always made a point to never leave home without applying her lipstick, fixing her eyebrows and putting on her jewelry. Rosa will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A visitation and rosary for Rosa will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with the rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral mass will take place Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, Texas 77581. Interment will follow at Alvin Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
