Rosie Garcia, 83, of La Porte passed away Wednesday July 1, 2009. She was born December 24, 1925 in Beaumont, Texas to Bessie and Leno Urteaga. Rosie is survived by her husband Remigio Garcia, children Rosemary Vela, Remigio Garcia, Jr., Richard Garcia, Ronald Garcia, Alfred Garcia, Frank Garcia, Debra Reyes, Bessie Piwko and Lawrence, Jesse Joe Garcia, brothers Frank Urteaga and Bertha, David Urteaga, 19 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great-Grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held Wednesday July 8, 2009 at 11 AM at the Houston National Cemetery. The family will be meeting at the Templo Baptista, 427 S. 15th Street, La Porte, TX 77571, following services at 1:30 PM.
