There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of Richard & Mother. I have some of my best memories visiting & going to Ephiphany Lutheran Church with my step dad. I was so blessed he was so awesome, fun, kind, supportive & full of lots of wisdom not to mention humor. In between all of the sports that he watched he also loved cooking & mother & him cooked differently so I followed him around writing down ingredients so I could later make a cookbook for all of us until they disappeared. I always enjoyed leaving cookies & candies for him everytime I visited & during the holidays I would deliver them to his neighbors as well. He was always in charge as he was the only person I trusted to make flight arrangements for whomever needed a flight including him & mother as well. He wasn’t ready to leave the world he told me not long before his death if I did anything wrong I wanted our children to get together every 2 years as we had planned so you all could get to know each other. He was awesome & I suppose when I think of going home that was home to visit for almost 29 years. Mother grieved after his death & she died I think of a broken heart. She said not long before her death I get to see Richard pretty soon. Anyway I guess greif has a way of never going away since then. I want to drive down again & visit their church I missed seeing their friends along with Pastor Jon Solomon & his wife I so enjoyed it & always looked forward to visiting.
