Although my heart is sad having to say goodbye to my mother for now, memories of the times we shared will give comfort in the days ahead. My mother was a kindhearted, loving person who always put the welfare of others before herself. Both my parents gave their three children the best gift one can give to another – the knowledge of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. They taught us by living their faith daily. I thank God for the blessing of Christian parents who nurtured my faith from a young child into adulthood. I am deeply comforted by the fact that she is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Her favorite Bible passage was John 14: 1-4:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
