Russ was one of the first people I met when I came to NMCB 74 . We became friends right away. My wife Codie Ann whent to high school with him and if it were not for Russ I would have never met the love of my life . I owe the last 10 year’s of my life to you Russ and for that I will always be greatfull.
God’s Garden
God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your precious face
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest;
God’ s Garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew you’ d never ever
Get well on earth again.
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered ” Peace be thine ”
Then He took you up to Heaven
With Hands so gentle and kind.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God welcomed you home.

We weren’t prepared for you to leave our lives so soon. We thought such a special young man could such have a positive impact on this earth but then in your short life you did accomplish that didn’t you? I don’t think we’ll ever fully know the number of lives that were changed because of you. People you didn’t even meet but knew your story; knew the strength and dignity and faith with which you fought this battle to the end. People who saw an example of what a loving son, a devoted husband, a caring dad and a loyal friend should be. You will never be forgotten, Russel, not just because memories of you live on in our hearts but a little piece (or example) of the way you lived will live on through each of us.
Uncle Steve and I love you. Be at peace in God’s loving arms.
So glad that you, Russel convinced Roxy to hire me last February. You have so blessed my life by allowing me into your previous family. See you again one of these days on the other side. ,
Roxy, I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying God is with you through this difficult time and brings you and your family comfort in knowing he is in a better place. Thought I did not know Russel, he seemed to be a very dedicated husband, father and service man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
