Ruth Hinkle Kicklighter

Ruth Hinkle Kicklighter, 74, of Houston, Texas passed away. She was born on October 30th, 1939 to Thomas and Frances Hinkle in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Thomas Hinkle, and son Mark Allan Bryan. She is survived by her sisters Sandi Hinkle James, Andi Hinkle Hodges, and sister-in-law Margaret Battles Hinkle. She was an educator for 45 years at La Porte ISD, the president of the La Porte Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution- Pasadena, and a member of the bell choir at the La Porte Community Church. A memorial service will be held on January 7th, 2014 at the La Porte Community Church at 4:00PM. In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made to the La Porte High School Scholarship Fund. In honor of Ruth, we request you wear her favorite color, purple, to the memorial.
