Ryan Jacob McCormack's Obituary
Ryan Jacob McCormack passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, in Houston, TX. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Hector Gonzales, and is survived by his parents, Michael and Hilda (Gonzalez) McCormack; wife, Desiree (Casas) McCormack; sisters, Savanna McCormack and Tauni Webb; grandmother, Olga Thomas; and a host of many other family and friends.
Ryan will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving son, brother, grandson, and cherished member of his extended family. He shared 14 wonderful years with his wife, Desiree, including four years of marriage, and she was truly his whole world. Ryan’s love for Desiree was evident in the way he cared for her, supported her, and built a life beside her with loyalty, joy, and affection. He loved and cared deeply for everyone in his wife’s family and embraced them as his own. His pets, Lucifer the cat and Nike the dog, were also part of the home and life he treasured.
Professionally, Ryan worked in real estate development and acquisition, where he built a respected career marked by dedication, talent, and excellence. Throughout his career, he earned numerous honors, including Leasing Consultant of the Year in 2018; Top Mystery Shop awards in 2017, 2018, and 2019; The Maximizer award at The Sovereign at Regent Square in 2018; Monthly Top Closer; Leasing Professional of the Year in 2023; the Regional Pillar of Excellence Award in 2022; and recognition as one of the Houston’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2026.
Beyond his accomplishments, Ryan will be remembered for the way he showed up for the people he loved. He was always willing to help, no matter the task, and he brought energy, generosity, and dependability into every room. At family events, Ryan was often the DJ, filling gatherings with music and helping create memories that his loved ones will carry with them forever.
Ryan enjoyed baseball, golfing, traveling, and cooking. Whether he was spending time with family, sharing a meal, visiting new places, or simply making ordinary moments feel special, he lived with warmth, humor, and a generous heart. His love, kindness, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland, on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
