Sam will be missed by all that knew him. He was a great friend. Although we hadn’t seen each other in years we would talk every 6 months or so. We always picked up where we had left off. He always talked about his family and how proud he was of them. His laugh was infectious. So many great memories.
Sam will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with Clara, Grace, Sophie and the rest of Marcello family.
Not only did we lose a great friend, but also a wonderful, kind and loving family member. Our hearts go out to you and your beautiful princesses. Our love for Sam will never diminish!!!!

Such a shock to hear of Docs passing. He was a great friend who helped everyone he knew. The memories of throughout school and LSU can never be taken away. God bless the family. Your loss is felt by many.

So sorry to hear of Sammy’s passing…our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the girls. Bert and Doc made me part of their family when I was young and remember being there when Sammy was a baby and holding him and rocking him to sleep…he always had a special place in my heart and know he was a great husband and father…we will not be there for his funeral but will be remembering him and praying for you and the girls as you say your final goodbye to him…Love Cousin Margie.
Billy and I send our condolences to you and your family. I just met Sam in Lake Charles at his Mother’s service. He was so proud of his family and his children. My family, the Cagles, have always been connected to the Fertittas and have enjoyed and respected them so much. Billy cannot say enough kind things about the entire Marcello family. His memories of them are about an honorable dedicated family. Sam was surely loved. Donna shared that you all were a really close family and that love is what will bring some peace to one another. Again we are so sorry . Beth and Billy Loftin
