I met Shannon when her son Shade brought me to their house in 2016. Not long after, my dad kicked me out at 17, her and LaRay took me in literally off of the road when I was crying and scared. I didn't permanently stay with them but I was always welcomed by her. She would cook us chicken and sit us down to watch Game of Thrones. She would always get mad at me for having Shade's attention but that's only because she loved him so very much. She was one of the most caring and free spirited people I've ever met.

My mom was and still will always be the best mother I could have ever had. She was loving caring and hard working. She may not have kept a conventional job but she did an amazing job of being a parent and raising 3 great kids. Even when times were tough and money was tight her kids as well as all of our friends never went hungry or neglected. She loved everyone who came into her life she did not know how to hate I miss my mom and always will
