Shirley's life defines kindness, caring and gentleness. We miss her. We miss her quiet, subtle humor that made us laugh out loud. We miss her at holiday gatherings and her special frozen lemon dessert. We miss how sweet she was to animals, even the squirrels who nested outside the window. Shirley and JoAnn were raised next door to my sisters and I .
My dad and theirs were very good friends . I have some wonderful childhood memories as Shirley was the oldest and certainly the kindest and most gentle. She set a great example for the rest of us. Her life will forever be a huge part of my memories. Peace to her and her family.
