Shirley and Floyd were our neighbors since 1980. She was one of a kind and we will miss her and her little pal Nikki. Always enjoyed her sense of humor and knowing we had a “good” neighbor next door.
I will miss sweet Ms. Shirley, I knew her from the animal clinic and she would send me the sweetest cards for my birthday and for Christmas. She will be missed very much.
I’ve never met any family members from Aunt Shirley’s side. I would like to say I’m sorryfor your loss! I’d also like to share with you my experience with her! She was the “cool” Aunt. Holidays @ Grandma Chevalier’s she’d rescue us and take some of us kids to the corner store and buy us chips & drinks or whatever we wanted. When I was a teenager in the late 70’s having a hard time in school and dealing with my parents divorce. Unlike the others she wasn’t standing back judging me but instead she called me 4 or 5 times a wk just to talk & see how I was doing and help me thru. She was an EMT for Alvin/Manvel at that time and had the opportunity to visit the first LifeFlight Helicopter in Houston and guess who she took?
She was easy to laugh & cut up with. She was sensitive and had a Big Heart and loved her dogs! She was just plain “Good People”! I’m so sorry I missed out on these last years! I’ll will ways remember Aunt Shirley with a Big Heart and a Big Smile!
Love you Aunt Shirley!
Shirley was a wonderful and caring friend. I will truly miss her.
Aunt Shirley was always one of my favorites. She gave all the children lots of attention and was always glad to see us. I will miss her kind and gentle spirit. Thanks Shirley for always making me feel important to you. Mary Michelle
