Shirley Poland-Hadley, 75, passed away on April 17, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil L. Sparks and Grace Long-Sparks and brother, Virgil L. Sparks Jr. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Mar Read Obituary
I only knew Shirley a few years, but those I will remember with great pleasure. She was a beautiful person with the most infectious laugh imagineable. She loved to speak of how she met her loving husband, Mark.

Although I did not know Shirley personally, we met on a many occasions with my association of the Brazoria County Democratic Club. She was a lovely woman,a totally committed Democrat, who gave of herself tirelessly. I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing.
Aunt Shirley was a wonderful and caring lady who brought much laughter into a room.We are so glad we had the oppotunity to spend some time with her a couple years after not seeing her for many many years.That was a true blessing.
May God be with all the family as they go through this very sad time.
