She is preceded in death by her parents, Viola Hercek and Joe Henry Kubena, and brother Maurice Kubena. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 54 years, Jon “Jac” W. Rubright; daughters, Jan Pierce and husband, James, Sara Cantu and husband, Leroy, Amy Rubright; grandchildren, Jon Thomas Pierce and wife, Katie, Chelsea Carwile and husband, Shay; nephews, Brian Kubena, Bruce Kubena, Cory Rubright, and a host of other family and dear friends. A memorial service for Shirley will take place at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11:00 am.
