View Tribute Book Stephen Michael Marsh, 57, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father Stephen Bob Marsh, and his favorite mother-in-law Lucy R. Arnold. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Carol Marsh Segura and husband, Darrell; loving wife, of 35 years, Kara Marsh; sons Stephen James Marsh, Kavin Robert Hoke; daughter Hannah Elizabeth Marsh; brother Jack Kozakar and wife, Nancy; sisters Christie Gerstenberg and husband, Paul, Shannon Upton and husband, Toney, Greta Petry and husband, Micah; Sister-in-Law, Kristin Bean, and husband Tim; and a host of many other family and friends.Stephen was born on June 9, 1966, to Stephen Bob Marsh and Carol Jean Marsh. He was an active member of his church growing up in Bridge City, TX, and graduated from Bridge City High School in 1984. Stephen met the love of his life, Kara, through their youth group. They went on their first date in December of 1985 and were married April 16th, 1988. Stephen graduated from Lamar University-Beaumont in December 1988 with a B.S. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering. In December 1992, he graduated with an associate degree in nursing from San Jacinto College. In December of 2017 he completed a B.S. in Nursing. He went to work for the St Joseph Hospital OR in January of 1993 where he was to put his computer and nursing abilities together. In 1998, he went to work for Shriner’s Hospital for Children -Burn Hospital where he worked until 2014. In 2014, he went to Methodist Hospital-Baytown where he filled several roles within their Operating room.Stephen enjoyed learning. As a nurse he hopped around learning new services and techniques as much a management would allow. His computer skills allowed him to often fix computerized systems without needing to always call the tech department. He also loved history and spent his off time reading about the history of medicine when he wasn’t doing some household project. Stephen was a mister fix it and enjoyed doing work with his hands around the house. He loved family time sitting around, joking with his kids whenever possible. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Services for Stephen will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor John Bickham officiating.
