Stephen Lee Schwettmann passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the age of 85. Born on October 20, 1934 in Needville, Texas, he called Pearland his home for over 60 years. Those who knew Ste Read Obituary
Neal & I will miss Stephen Lee. He was always a kind and gentle man. We loved visiting with him and listening to his stories. May you find comfort in remembering all the wonderful times you had with him.

Sharing a memory of Steve would be hard to do, there is so many great memories of he and the family over the last 55 years or so there is no way of picking one. There family and ours made numerous trips to Colorado and different State Parks in Texas Camping and enjoying life together. Even though we kind of drifted a part in later years I knew he was there and if I needed anything all I had to do was ask. He was more then a friend he was family to us. He will never be forgotten by us, he will always remembered as being part of our life. Steve and Marilyn are Godparents to our son Ricky. We have lost someone very dear to our family. Our thoughts and prayers to Marilyn and the girls, as well as the entire Schwettmann family. May the Lord bless you.

Steve will certainly be missed! Mario and I enjoyed the times that he and Marilyn travelled to Leon County to visit and the memorable weekend we shared attending a Gene Watson concert with both of them. That will always be one of our favorite memories. Steve had an infectious laugh and smile.
He loved his family very much that was apparent. Steve was a part of my life since I was a little girl and my brother-in-law will not be forgotten.
We always enjoyed the hospitality and generosity we experienced when we visited in Steve and Marilyn's home.
