She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Margaret Van Wie. Left to cherish her memory are her son Josh Jenkins and wife, Heather; daughter Jess Jenkins and husband, Dean Perez II; brother Chuck Van Wie and wife, Laura (nephews Andrew, Kyle, and Michael); sister Helen Nead and husband, Dennis; grandchildren Dean Perez III, Sean Perez, Iris Jenkins, and her beloved dog Daisy.Susan was a dedicated, loving mother, Nana, and friend. She was strong in her faith and very active in her church. Susan enjoyed throwing parties and always went above and beyond. The party never really started until Susan arrived. She hosted many Bunko and Taco nights at her home. She also enjoyed playing Mahjong with friends. In her spare time, Susan loved playing golf and was very involved in her Country Place community. She had the ability to make friends everywhere she went. Susan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Services for Susan will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 Broadway St, Pearland, TX 77581. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Scott Cummings officiating. Reception to follow at 3:00 pm at Peach Church Pearland, 2849 Miller Ranch Rd, #503, Pearland, TX 77584 (Silverlake Business Park). In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made to the Peace Church “Building Fund” at www.peacepres.net/giving.
