Theodore Roosevelt Tilley, Jr 87, of La Porte died June 15, 2016. Born in Berclair, Texas on January 30, 1929 to Theodore Roosevelt Tilley, Sr and Annie Lois Chavis. Ted worked for Brown and Root Construction for 40 years. He was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in La Porte. Ted was preceded in death by his parents Annie and Theodore R. Tilley, Sr; Son Theodore R. Tilley, III; Sisters Annie Pierson and Ruth Rucker; and Grandchildren Michael Douglas and Jasmine Tilley. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Tilley; Daughters Jacqueline Tilley; Athena Barrett and husband Brett; Grandchildren Brooklyn Tilley and husband Jason Fry; Shane Stafford; Brandon J. Davidson; Rachel Phillips and husband Terry; and Kodi Stafford. Great Grandchildren Fallon Donato; McKenzi Tilley Romero and husband Armando Romero; Austin Jean; Jena’ Jean; Victoria Wiggins; Streisan Wiggins; Londyn Love; T.J. Phillips; Alex Fry; Elizabeth Fry; Sha’mayh Stafford; Kennedy Stafford; Payton Stafford; Malik Davidson; and Brandon Davidson, Jr. Great great Grandchild Maison Lee Jean.
Pallbearers are Austin Jean, Brett Barrett, Leo Charles, Jason Fry, Jonah Gallington and Kelly Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are Michael Smith, Bill Greenlee, Armando Romero, Charles Stafford, Bill Estes, Shane Stafford, Brandon J. Davidson, Travis Rucker and William Scott Pierson. Along with numerous other relatives and friends he will be missed.
Rosary service will be Monday June 20, 2016 at 9am with services to start at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in La Porte, Texas. Internment immediately following at Grandview Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas.
