Teri Lynn Rangel's Obituary
Teri Lynn Rangel, 55, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 after complications from a long, courageous battle with dementia. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Molly Van Cleave. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Robert Rangel; daughter, Teresa Rangel Simmons and husband, Charles; son, Harley Rangel daughter-in-law Candice Rangel; adopted brother and longtime friend, Mike Denham; sisters, Melinda Preddy and husband, Mike, Karen McDonough and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Jillian and Carter Simmons, Evan and Reese Rangel; caretaker and adopted family member that went above and beyond, LaTasha St. Julien; and a host of other family and friends.
Teri worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad from 1979 to 1994. After leaving the railroad, she worked at International Specialty Products in Texas City from 1994 until 2010 as a Raw Materials Clerk. She loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Teri loved her Texas heritage and enjoyed traveling all of over the great state of Texas. She was fiercely protective of her kids and grandkids and was affectionately known as “MeMe”. She was a true shopping warrior and loved her purses and perfumes. Teri had a strong disposition and her determination helped her win her battle against breast cancer in 2004. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Teri will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The graveside service will take place Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Alvin Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
