Terry Eugene Reed's Obituary
Terry Eugene Reed went into the presence of the LORD on November 8th, 2025.
Terry is survived by his son, Michael Reed, wife Jamie, his daughter Laura Reed Brower and husband Bill, brothers, Dean Reed, Wayne Dixson and wife Sandy, 4 grandson’s, Jordan Reed, Travis Chappell, Cameron Reed and wife Brooke, Brandon Brower and wife Grace, 3 great granddaughter’s, Gwen Chappell, Sophia Reed and Emma Brower.
Terry was born in the small East Texas town of Mount Enterprise on October 7th,1934 to Travis and Alma Reed at the height of the Great Depression. Terry’s family traveled all over Texas, finally settling in Pasadena, Texas on East Park Lane Avenue where he lived through high school. Terry graduated from Pasadena high school in 1953 where he met the beautiful love of his life Shirley Neeley. Terry and Shirley were married on April 30th,1955 and quickly departed for Germany where Terry served as a paratrooper in the Army during the end of the Korean War.
Terry was a loving dedicated husband, father and exceptional son in law. Terry worked most of his life for Brown & Root Construction Company in many capacities, working his way from a laborer to a Project Manager. Terry was loved and admired by the men and women who worked for him due to his compassion, kindness and leadership. Terry enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends having the opportunity to see most of the US. Vegas was a frequent stop. He enjoyed sports and had a knack for writing that many people did not know.
Terry was a member of Grace Church in Houston where he accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized.
Terry will be greatly missed by his family. His legacy of Love, Honor, Integrity, Loyalty and Witness for Jesus will live on for generations.
