Theresa Alberta Nix's Obituary
Theresa Alberta Nix, 90, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Elizabeth Mundine; husbands, Armand Mahl, Bascom Brown and Boyd Nix; brothers, Richard and Raymond Mundine; sisters, Helen Hundley and Mary Sharp. Theresa is survived by her son, Armand Brown and wife, Ann; daughters, Theresa “Sissy” Nagy and husband, John, Debbie Thibodeaux and husband, Kent; brother, Bernard Mundine; sister, Gertrude Greer; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Theresa truly loved the outdoors and being in nature. She enjoyed working in her yard, going to the deer lease and traveling all over the United States. Theresa was affectionately known as “MeMe” to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and she cherished every opportunity she had to spend with them at family gatherings. She was always the life of the party and still enjoyed having a beer with her kids. Theresa will forever be remembered for strong will, determination and stubbornness that never left her throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation and rosary for Theresa will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm with the rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral mass will take place Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Father James Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
