Theresa (Terri) Lucille Hart's Obituary
Theresa (Terri) Lucille Hart, age 63, was born April 27, 1963, in Honolulu, Hawaii and passed away July 12, 2026, at her home in Pearland, TX. She was the first child of her parents, James (Jim) and Lucille (Lucy) Harris. Terri was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Harris and brother Jimmy Harris. She is survived by her husband, Tom Hart of Pearland, TX; daughter, Liana Hart of Houston, TX; father, Jim Harris of Cibolo, TX; sister Tammie Wewers (Travis) of Schertz, TX; and sister-in-law Paige Harris of Jenks, OK. She is also survived by her special friend Mickie Kramer (Tim) of Ben Wheeler, TX, as well as numerous family members and friends, and her precious dog Olivia.
Terri attended and graduated from Hope High School, Hope, AR and attended and graduated from Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, AR with a Batchelor of Music Education degree. She was a registered and board-certified Music Therapist and worked in that profession most of her adult life, where she taught mostly special needs children. She was self-employed in her profession and later worked and taught and retired from the Houston Independent School District.
She met Tom Hart in Houston, TX, where they married. Their first child, Liana Hart, and the family, resided in Pearland, TX. Terri was very active as a Girl Scout leader where her daughter, Liana and other girl scouts in the troop were members. Terri was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Pearland, TX. She loved contributing her music and other talents to the church. She was an active leader in the UMC church camps, as well as always participating and teaching in Vacation Bible School. She led worship for the elementary students at summer camp, and served as was the Music and Chapel Teacher for the Methodist Children’s Program (MCP) at the church.
Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church, 2314 N. Grand Blvd, Pearland, TX at 10:00 AM on July 25, 2026, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00 AM. The service will be officiated by Rev. Reginald G. Clemons, Senior Pastor.
