i knew Tom in the eighties from St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Brittani and Mat were so young and about the same age as my children. Tom had such a generous spirit and such a magnetic personality.. Everyone was just drawn to him. Our group just went in different directions, but none of us ever forgot Tom. Facebook is such a great tool to reconnect. I am so sorry to hear about Tom. I found out his illness on his birthday post. I pray for you, Mat and Brittani, for peace and understanding. I know how hard it is to loose a parent, so just know he is singing with the Angels. I also pray for his family.
In remembrance of a kind friend. May he rest in everlasting peace.
So sorry for your loss. I went to Mt. Carmel with Tom and he was a good man. Will keep the family in my prayers.

I had the pleasure of being a business associate of TC's in Richmond, as well as a friend.
Tom came into my life at a time when both of us needed to a truly good friend. I'm sure if you went onto Google and searched under "friend", you would find Tom Collins name. He was a friend to anyone he met, and he helped so many. He was joy and laughter, mischievous and fun; proper and down to earth....all wrapped up in a caring, example of a truly Christian man. He was amazing. He was a gift in my life...and I will forever cherish that gift. To the Collins Family, thank you for sharing him with me.
Thanks for being the coolest step dad, you will be dearly missed and always remember we love you!
I am so sorry for you loss. I know how close yall were to your father and what an influence he had on your life. He will be missed but know he is always in your heart.
