Timothy Edward Myer's Obituary
Timothy Edward Myer, 67, passed away on May 12, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ida Ruth Myer; and sister, Jo Ann Hughes. Tim is survived by his wife of seven years, Vera Olvera Myer; stepson, Carlos Olvera; stepdaughter, Christina Gomez; brother, George Myer and his wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Veronica Wilkinson and Andrew Gomez; as well as a host of many other family and friends.
Tim had a successful career with AT&T for 31 years and traveled wherever they needed him to go to repair or upgrade communication systems. He was a kind and helpful man his entire life. He relocated from the Colorado area about 10 years ago to be closer to his mother where he could help care for her. Tim actually met Vera through his mother and they married 7 years ago. They enjoyed their time together and helping Ruth whenever she needed anything. He and Vera stayed close to Pearland where they enjoyed spending time with family and attending church. Tim lost his courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service for Tim will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church at 2314 Grand Blvd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Dr. Bob Joiner officiating.
