I remember Velvett always had a bright and cheeky smile as a little girl. Lots of happy memories. I never met her husband and children but know she would love them dearly. Deepest condolences to her dear parents and family and all those who know and love her. One day those who know the Lord Jesus as she did, will see her again. Until then may God give His comfort and grace in the hard times. 🙏❤️

Velvett and I became so very close when she arrived at Grace College...she was beyond beautiful. We have stayed in touch for over 35 years and I will miss her terribly xxx My condolences to all xx

I had the greatest honor of knowing Velvett from working alongside her. She was always caring and emphatic to all her patients and their families. While our work is mostly “behind the scenes”, she made a significant difference in the lives of those dealing with changes after hospitalization. Besides work, I enjoyed mutually sharing about our families and children (I hope her family knows she would speak with such love about them & her face would beam with pride when speaking of all her children!) Velvett, you are greatly missed. Thank you for always being a great coworker & friend and lending me a listening ear.

Velvett has always had such a spunky personality and we could always laugh and talk about work and life. It was a real pleasure to work with her and she will truly be missed around here! I will continue to pray for the family’s peace and comfort during this difficult time.
