View Tribute Book Vickie Moreland Norwood, 66, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marlon Mike Moreland and Velma Turner. Vickie is survived by her loving husband of almost 47 years, Dale Norwood; son, Lan Norwood; daughter, Carly Norwood; sister, Connie Smith and her husband, Michael Smith; son-in-law, Bryan Vezey; grandchildren, Philicia Wright, Phillip Hibbard, III; and a host of other family and friends.She was a loving and devoted mother who enjoyed spending quality time with her family any chance she could get. She had such a big heart and touched so many people with her love and generosity. When her children were growing up, their home was known as a welcome place where all the kids would love to come and hang out and was fondly referred to as the “Kool -Aid House”. She greatly appreciated nature’s beauty and loved gardening with Dale as well. Together they have transformed many outdoor spaces into stunning works of art. Vickie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Visitation for Vickie will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. Visitation services in Ringgold, Louisiana will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Rockett Funeral Home, 2438 Military Road, Ringgold, Louisiana 71068. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Ringgold, 2768 Mill Street, Ringgold, Louisiana 71068. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
