My dad was the strongest, kindest, most gentle man I’ve ever known. I’m so glad he was able to be at my wedding last year and give my husband I advice on what it takes to make a marriage work. He was so happy and proud and I was so happy to have him there with me in Seattle. I loved seeing him so proud and happy. I was so lucky to have him as my dad. He accepted me for me and let me be weird and make mistakes but always was there to pick me up, lift me up and never judged me. There was nothing my dad wouldn’t do for me or for anyone in need. He taught me to be kind and gave me a love for animals. I miss him so much.
Poppio was such a good man, he would help anyone that he could from what I ever saw from him. As a teen- he was there for me to kick me in the rear or give me a big hug as needed- and each were needed often. I will miss knowing that his smile is lighting up the world. Rest now, it’s been well earned.
I was so lucky to have you as my dad.
