Virgil Don Wood II's Obituary
Virgil Don “D.J.” Wood II of La Porte passed away at the age of 32 on Wednesday March 18. Virgil was born on July 23, 1993 to Virgil Don Wood I and Shannon Roberts. He is preceded in death by his father, grandmother, Jaynie Wells and grandfather, Chester Wood. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Shannon Roberts; stepfather, Joe Entler; grandparents, Kerry Roberts I and Sandy Roberts; brother, Joey Entler; stepbrothers and sisters, Jonathan, Jessica, Jared, Jordan, and Joanna Entler; aunts and uncles, Kerry Brian Roberts II (Collete), Bubba Wells, Todd and Troy Wood, Deron Entler, Debra Wells, and Maggie Simpson, nieces and nephews, Kason, Kody and Kaden Roberts, Chase and Whitney Wells and Kyrstin Benson; and many other family and friends.
D.J. was a 2012 graduate of La Porte High School and was employed by Wieland Farmers Copper LTD in Texas City. D.J. had a zest for life, he loved his family, and his beloved dog Echo. He had the sweetest soul and a kind heart. His smile would light up the room. D.J. was always willing to help when someone had a need. He was loved by many. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clayton Funeral Home 201 3rd St. La Porte on Friday March 27 at 1:00 PM.
