W Raymond "Ray" Davis' Obituary
American patriot and member of the Greatest Generation, W. Raymond (Ray) Davis, Jr. passed away on January 19, 2017. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
Ray was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Paschal High School and proudly served in the US Navy in WW II and Korea before returning to obtain a Business/Accounting degree from Texas Christian University. He was active in the Navy Reserves for a number of years thereafter.
Following brief employment with Texaco, Ray began a long and rewarding career in the property tax appraisal business, retiring from L. B. Walker & Associates at the age of 82.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jerry, having celebrated their 46th anniversary in November; son Ken Davis (Betsy); daughters Nancy Cammack (Bruce) and Marilyn Rasmussen (Michael); stepdaughter Karen Smith (Mark), eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by stepson, Jeff Duay.
